the end of a dynasty

if theres any sport i love as much as baseball, its football. i was raised to be a die-hard giants fan, so you can imagine the excitement thats still running through my body. this season i never missed a single giants game, i sat and watched them all. i followed them as they worked thier asses off this season as they pushed closer and closer to playoffs and finally the superbowl. as superbowl 42 drew nearer and nearer my friends would constantly tease me with "ready for the end, your giants are gonna loose." no one gave these underdogs the credit they deserved this season. but i held out for them. i was the only one of my friends or family that had any faith in them winning and bringing the title of champions back home. my cousin stephen lives in new hampshire and if he isnt a crazed patriots fan then i dont know what one is. he called me during the pre- game and said "cuz are you ready to lose?" after telling him it hasnt even started he replied with "little cousin i love you to death but it was over before today but dont worry i'll let you cry on my shoulder when they lose." i cant even tell you how many txts i got on my phone asking me how it felt to be a fan of a team that sucked. but weren't they all wrong? i have to admit that the last 2 minutes of the game were nerve racking and i was starting to wonder if we would make it. it seemed as though Eli Manning and Tom Brady changed roles last night, where was Brady throwing half the time? it all ended with a giants victory of 17-14. they not only will be coming home today as superbowl champions but they will also return knowing that they pulled off one of the greatest upsets in supebowl history, they destroyed new englands hopes of a truly perfect season. and their going to return home strutting their stuff with their heads held high.
